Its really heartening to know that so many of you still remember this great lady. Even while she died close to a year back.
The lady is " Rosa Parks "
The lady is almost in the same league as Martin Luther King ( Jr. ) , Mahatma Gandhi , Nelson MAndela. ( My Perception )
In 1955 while travelling in local bus in US she refused to offer her seat to a white person for which she was arrested.and convicted
It resulted in close to a year long Boy-Cott of Buses by Afro Americans during Which Martin Luther King rose to prominence.
It later resulted in Supreme Court abolishing such a Practice.
