"These are tools for personnel management/HR management including everything from payroll...performace appraisal..location tracking...finanacial claims and reimbursements....project tracking......notifications...etc etc... "

Other Things ::
These type of tools are used for People Management in companies which have a very high Workforce. ( Population )
They Normally run on SAP // Oracle.
Indian Army and Wall Mart both have a Million Plus employees on their Payroll.
And hence there Employee MAnagement is being studied by India Inc.
