Play your Part in Indian Education

I know none of us had the time to go on street protesting,

I had a simple suggestion.
Atleast shout where you will get heard.

Design a mail highlighting your views about reservation.

And sent it the following addresses.

aicc@congress.org.in ( Congress )

bjpco@del3.vsnl.net.in ( BJP )

edit@timesgroup.com ( Times of India Editorial )

letters@hindustantimes.com ( Hindustan Times Editorial )

letters@thehindu.co.in ( Hindu Editorial )

If you dont know what to write heres the mail I sent ( From my Personnel ID of course )

Get this and get this clear.I will never ever Vote for your Party if you will play with my career.
If you implement reservation none of my family will vote for you .Traditionally middle class might have been you vote bank. But post Mandal II you will loose that.

Its Simple Give and Take.

Yaar Tanay, don't waste your time sending emails to these political parties. Broadly, you can choose to vote for (one out of the) Congress, BJP, OBC-pandering parties like Mulayam's SP (and others), SC/ST-pandering parties like BSP, Left Parties. Now, Congress/BJP get the votes of most of the General category. We (those that comprise that category) can choose not to vote for Congress/BJP. So then who do we vote for.. SP? BSP? They are only worse than Congress/BJP, at least as far as reservation issue is concerned. We can choose not to vote, but that again only helps SP/BSP. As far as Left parties are concerned, they are as bad as SP/BSP on reservation issue and they suck otherwise too.

The bottomline is that the Congress knows that the General category voters have no option but to keep voting for either them (or the BJP). Now, surely the Congress Party's understands that their stand on the reservation issue will drive some of their General category voters to the BJP. But it might also attract some voters from the OBC category.. who are greater in absolute numbers than General category voters.. leaving the Congress with a net gain in voters. Of course, there is no guarantee that this logic will actually work, but that is probably what is Congress' calculation. It helps them that the BJP doesn't have the guts to oppose reservations and will reluctantly support this legislation..
