Some salient Features of This Dance ::
1. Probably it is the simplest of all and are part of the Daily life of Manipuri People
2. It is indigenous to Manipur ( North East ).
3. Ras Lila ( Krishna and Radha ) are an integral part of this Dance.
4. Dancer never hits the Ground Hard.

2. It originated in Tamil Nadu.
3. Mostly Performed by Women Dancers.
4. Not sure about its origins but atleast 400 years old..

Some salient Features of This Dance ::
1. Considered to be one of the oldest theatre forms in the world.
2. It originated in Kerala around 1500 years ago.
3. Its uniqueness lies in heavy Makeup.
4. In this dance the faces of Noble male characters are shown Green.


FYI :: Kuttiattam dance form of Kerala also uses these face paints and masks at times.

1. Kathak and Kathakali are two seperate dances ( Dont Mix them )
2. It originated in North India.
3. It is derived from Katha ( The art of story telling )
4. Most important Feature is the Use of Ghunghroo or Ankle Bells.
